Mother’s Day

I love Mother’s Day and all that it is meant to be. It is one of those days for people to just stop and appreciate. Give thanks and honor the woman you call “Mom” or “Mommy” or “Mother” or any other name you may have for the precious woman that raised you. She should be raised up and made to feel special on this day. She should be treated like a princess, pampered and made to feel as special as she is.

Mothers are the glue that holds families together; they are the encouragers, the healers, the chefs, the teachers, the ones that will go to bat for you when nobody else will. They hold you in their heart and what a big heart that is. They feel deeply, love strongly and believe in you with all their might. They show love like no other, they put others first and themselves last. They do what others will not and they do so with pride and dignity. They are full of grace and mercy, they have forgiveness in their hearts when their children hurt them or cause them pain. They look past offenses and love anyway. They provide hope and give their children hefty praise.

My own mother is a strong, kind, loving woman that raised me and my sisters to the best of her capabilities even though circumstances might not have always been ideal for her. She never stopped loving us even in times that we disappointed her and we know she will always be there to lend an ear or give wise counsel. She is our blessing, she is our mom. Love you Mom!

Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful women acting as Mom to someone! Whether you are a mother, aunt, grandmother or guardian you are called to do the most important job in the world and you are worthy! You are a beautiful soul that should be appreciated for who you are!
